Your library account
When you join the university you are given a student number. This is shown on your ID card, which is also your library card. You must have this card with you every time you want to use the Learning Resources Centres.
You can use your library account to renew your loans, track your reservations or photocopy requests online. Just click on the Renewals/sign in tab on the catalogue and follow the onscreen links.
Your student number also lets you access BREO and the Digital Library resources. If you have any problems with your Library Account, contact one of the LRCs where someone will help you.

As well as the textbooks on your course reading lists, you will need to use other information sources such as

Studying at University can be challenging. The Professional and Academic Development team can help you to develop effective study skills strategies. They run workshops and provide personal tuition on things like:
- reading techniques
- note taking
- writing your assignments
- numeracy skills
