Accessing digital resources wherever you are

You can access the digital resources the library subscribes to from home or anywhere else as well as from computers at the university.

We have tried to set up links from our systems in such a way as to guide you through logging in as simply as possible. If you search outside our systems, e.g. in Google, you may have to work out how to login to a site to view content. Each provider has a different way of doing this, but try to look for Institutional login options, e.g.

login option - Institution Login

 or

login option - Access through your institution

You may have to then search for "university of bedfordshire" or pick it from a list.

Your login will be your student number (or staff username) and usual UoB password.

If you see this login box

Login option - UoB Single Sign-On or Library Login

choose the UoB Single Sign-On option UNLESS you are not a student or staff member but another category of user who has been given a library account. In that case choose Library Login and use your library card barcode and password to log in.

Remember your university username and password will only give you access to resources we subscribe to.

If you need access to something we do not subscribe to, you may be able to use Document Supply

A few resources have their own particular logins – details of these are provided as a note in Publication Finder.

Still Stuck?

If you are studying a UoB course at a partner college, your local college will be responsible for your library provision. You will only be able to access UoB digital library resources where licences specifically allow this.

We have reading lists for each of our partner colleges, with links to the resources availale to each - find your reading list

If you are still having difficulties with using a particular resource or would like to report a problem with a service in the Digital Library, please email library.technical@beds.ac.uk
