  • Artinfo news, information about artists, auctions, sales etc.
  • Arts Hub Good sources of information on jobs and news in the arts.
  • Artnet contains business related information, i.e from the point of view of buyers and sellers.
  • Cartoon Hub site for the Centre for the Study of Cartoons and Caricature, which dates back to 1904.
  • Design Council Government body promoting the use of design. Gives a lot information including online magazine.
  • Google Art Project provides virtual tours of some of the worlds best known art galleries as well as images of much of their art.
  • Great Buildings huge collection of images and information on buildings and architects.
  • i Love Typography site produced by a graphic designer, gives lots of information and examples of typefaces.
  • Museum Net information about all UK museums and art galleries.
  • Saatchi includes a free online daily magazine, a huge gallery of work by established artists, a gallery for students to display their work for free as well as information about the Saatchi Gallery.

  • Screenonline produced by the BFI contains a comprehensive range of video clips from British film and television, including animation. There is also an Encyclopedia of British Film and interactive tours through particular subject areas combining video clips with still photographs and other materials.

  • British Film Institute comprehensive information on all the BFI's activities, including animation many statistics on film and television.
  • Bright Lights Film Journal, freely-available electronic journal contains full-text articles on a range of issues in international cinema including animation.
