The Levick Boyd Archive for Women’s Lacrosse

Following the centenary celebrations of the sport in 2013, a new archive for the history of women's lacrosse was established at the University of Bedfordshire in 2014. The Levick Boyd Archive for Women's Lacrosse seeks to enhance knowledge and understanding for the game of women's lacrosse through assembling and preserving a comprehensive record of its development. Holdings include the records of the All England Women's Lacrosse Association and a growing number of collections of personal papers and memorabilia from former international players and administrators.

The archive is named after Audrey Murray Levick (1890-1980), founder and honorary secretary of the Ladies' Lacrosse Association inaugurated in 1912, and Margaret Boyd (1913-1993) who kept the memory and structure of the sport alive in Britain during the Second World War and was the founding president of the International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations.

Catalogues for the All England Women's Lacrosse Association Archive and a growing number of collections of personal papers are available on the Archives Hub
