Education software at Bedford campus library

This software is available on PCs located in the Bedford campus library. Due to the number and range of applications the Learning Resources team is unable to fully support all the different types of software. Please contact your department for specific software support.

Beebot - Enables children to take control of Beebot using a PC or tablet. A range of games are available.

Concept Cartoons - Designed to intrigue, provoke discussion and stimulate thinking.

Easy Sense - Software that provides teachers with the tools to teach scientific methods.

FMS Logo - This is a free implementation of a computing environment called Logo which is an educational interpreter language and covers mathematics, engineering, art, music and robotics.

GeoGebra - This is aimed strictly for those comfortable with difficult mathematics and includes only graphing calculator, geometry calculator, 3D calculator and spreadsheets.

Leaps and Bounds - Simple user interface and text-free activities designed to help early learners develop vital pre-reading skills

Microsoft Paint - A basic image creation and manipulation programme for windows.

Mind Genius - Brainstorming tool providing an efficient way to capture, visualise and manage information.

Probotix - Allows children to take control of programming their Probot using screen programming software.

Premiere Pro 2020 - Premiere Pro is the industry-leading video editing software for film, TV and the web. Creative tools and integration with other apps and services helps you craft footage into polished films and videos.

Photoshop 2020 - Photoshop is an image creation, graphic design and photo editing software developed by Adobe. The software provides many image editing features for pixel-based images, raster graphics and vector graphics.

SmartBoard Notebook Software - Teaching software allows the users' computer to operate as an interactive white board (or notebook). The user can draw over the screen, highlight areas, play videos etc.

Smart Ink - Is a document viewer which enables you to write and draw digital ink in the applications you use the most with your Smart interactive product.

SPSS - A popular program used for statistical analysis.

SPSS AMOS - structural equation modeling software extending standard multivariate analysis methods, including regression, factor analysis, correlation and analysis of variance.

Tarsia - An editor for teachers of mathematics, creating activities in the form of jigsaws and dominoes.

Task Magic 2 - Template authoring software allows you to input text, images and sound.
