Getting Support


Library Learning Resources - ejournals, databases, reading lists, repository, guide to referencing

The University has several systems in place to support you with developing your study skills. Your course team will be able to advise which are available to you.

Study Hub - has a variety of guides and self help resources on how to paraphrase and how to reference, you can also attend drop in sessions at the Luton and Bedford libraries or book an appointment using studyhub@luton.beds.ac.uk

Cite them right - The University of Bedfordshire has a licence for Cite me right which offers guidance on referencing and paraphrasing skills. Use your University log in details to access this. There is a also a tutorial to complete to assist you.

Turnitin - a standard Turnitin site has been made available with instructions for students. You can check your similarity report before submitting your final version. If you have problems with Turnitin, contact your tutor, do not submit your work through another University's Turnitin or other similarity checking system.

Academic Skills Training - available through the language centre


Sometimes students experience problems beyond their academic life. The University also has systems in place to provide support for other situations.
