We will help you to use your library. We have customer service desks at each of our campus libraries and our staff are available to support you with your enquiries. You may want to borrow, return or reserve a book, log into a PC, borrow a laptop, print or scan something or book a group study room – whatever your enquiry, library staff can help.
If it’s easier, you can log a SID enquiry here: sid@beds.ac.uk or call us on 01582 743488.
We will help you develop your academic skills. We can help you find the information you need for your assignments and reference it.
We’ve got online guides too, that you can access at any time in our Self-help resources catalogue. The Microsoft Office Trainers can show you how to use the software, which is going to help not just in Uni, but for future employment.
If ever you want to talk to us, you can contact the Librarians by emailing librarians@beds.ac.uk or the Microsoft Office Trainers via mot@beds.ac.uk
We help with all the technical things in our libraries. Along with the Digital Resource Managers, we look after library systems and make sure that PCs, laptops, printers, and software are at their best for you to use. If ever there is a problem with a device, you can let us know here: library.technical@beds.ac.uk
The Acquisitions team make sure the books and journals recommended by lecturers are purchased and available for you to access either on the shelves or online.
The Student Information Desk or SiD can help and advise you with any question or concern you might have whilst studying at the university. SID can access a wide range of information from across the university, so even if they don’t know the answer they will find out and get back to you.
Check what services we offer to find out the kinds of things SID can help you with. You can visit the SID desks, log a SID online enquiry or you can call: 0300 300 0042.
