Anatomy & physiology resources

leg

Detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for sports therapists. The library has a number of resources to help you with this.

Books

The library has multiple print copies of all the major anatomy and physiology textbooks you will need. You will find these in the Luton Campus Library at classmark 612. The Bedford Campus Library also has many anatomy and physiology textbooks, so remember you can always reserve books from other campuses if you cannot find what you need on the shelves at Luton.

Medical dictionaries and encyclopaedias

If you need to look up a definition or you are unsure about a particular condition or injury, you could try Credo Reference. Credo Reference is a collection of online reference material including several medical and health resources.

Visible Body: human anatomy atlas

The Visible Body is a resource containing interactive 3D models of the human body. This resource can be used to learn about muscles, their pathologies, their associated actions, and how they interact with other systems of the human body (e.g. respiratory and circulatory).
