Study Environment
We provide a range of study environments in our Learning Resources Centres where you may work alone or in study groups. At Luton, Park Square LRC and Bedford, Polhill Library there are designated silent areas.
Luton, Park Square: levels 2 and 3 are silent - the floors with the green walls on the way in
Bedford, Polhill: ground floor study room is silent
We rely on you to respect the silent study areas and make as little noise as possible in all areas as we are aware that many people have great difficulty in studying in noisy surroundings.
Mobile phones must be kept on "SILENT" mode and personal stereos must be switched off before entering the LRC/library. Mobile phones in "SILENT" mode may be used for texting and making notes anywhere in the LRC/library.
To protect equipment and bookstock, and to maintain a pleasant, litter-free environment, food or drink are not permitted in any Learning Resources areas.
Other areas of the LRC do not have the same restrictions - as it is a study space please respect other people's needs for example by using ear phones and not talking too loudly
