Logging on

Logging on

All staff and students require an account to access the University's networked resources within our Learning Resources Centres and libraries. Accounts are generated automatically following enrolment and can take up to 5 working days before they are available. Individual requests for network accounts are dealt with by specialist systems and network staff so are not available on demand.

To find out whether your account has been set up try logging on to one of the computers in the centre. Your username is your registration number e.g. 0400001; your password is your date of birth in the format DDMMYY, e.g. 060591.

If you have been in possession of a student ID card for over 5 days and you are still unable to log on to the network then please ask for assistance at a Learning Resources Customer Service Desk, remembering to bring your student ID card with you.

When you're in University you will be logging onto a networked resource. This takes longer than logging on at home.

If you experience any logging on problems please tell Customer Service desk staff straight away so they can help you and report a fault if necessary

Staff can log on to the networked computers in our Learning Resources Centres and library using their office login.
