I became the manager of the PAD Team in August 2011. Prior to this I worked for almost 5 years as a Learning Support Tutor at the University of Bedfordshire. Whilst working at the University I also completed my PhD.
I teach academic and writing skills. I work Monday to Friday and am based in the Campus Centre (Luton).

I have 29 years experience of teaching and supporting students in Higher and Further Education. Nine years were spent in Nurse Education and ten years as a Senior Lecturer in Sociology and Women's Studies. I have worked in PAD since 2003.

I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language since I obtained my BA (Hons) degree in China in 1999. I moved to the UK to pursue my MA in Applied Linguistics and PhD studies in 2000. Before joining PAD, I have taught various units on Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses for more than 7 years in the Department of Language and Communication at the University of Bedfordshire.

My background spans education, marketing, and social science. I have studied and worked in Russia, USA, Germany and the UK. I have been with the University since 2001. Before joining PAD, I worked as a Applied Social Studies lecturer and as a BBC researcher/ producer. I am undertaking my Professional Doctorate.

I have been working with International students as an English language and Academic skills tutor for 10 years. I completed my Certificate in language teaching in 2002 and my first degree in Linguistics in 2007 and am currently undertaking an MA in Applied Linguistics.

I am a graduate of Durham University and have worked in the universities of Newcastle, Swansea and Aarhus in Denmark before joining the staff at Bedford as Head of European Studies. I have worked in the PAD team since 2002 and provide support around academic skills and writing.
I work on Monday and Friday mornings (term time only) and am based at the Library (Bedford).

I spent 30 years in the construction industry as a qualified Civil Engineer and Company Director. I have taught maths since 2000 and provided freelance GCSEs and A level tuition. In the late 1980s, I joined MENSA. I started working in PAD in 2006.
I generally work on Mondays and Thursdays (term time only) across university campuses.

I graduated from the University of Bedfordshire with a first in English Language Studies with Teaching English as a Foreign Language in 2011. I worked in various roles supporting students whilst pursuing my degree, including as a Peer Adviser in PAD.
I coordinate the PADPALS programme. I work Monday to Friday (term time only) and am based at the Campus Centre (Luton).
