EBSCOhost app for iPhone and iPod Touch
EBSCOhost have produced an application for iPhones and iPod Touch to enable you to search EBSCO databases on the go.
In order to get the authorisation code for the app, you need to search an EBSCO database from the library catalogue. At the bottom of the screen you will see a link to the iPhone app:
Click on the link and you will be prompted to enter your email address.
Go to iTunes and download the free EBSCOhost app here.
Now you need to go into your email from your iPhone or iPod Touch and find the email from EBSCOhost. In this email there will be a link to activate the app. This link expires after 24 hours so it is important that you activate your app within this time.
The EBSCOhost app on your iPhone or iPod Touch is now activated for nine months. When you click on it you get a search screen where you can search EBSCO databases. From the Settings screen you can choose which databases to search and also apply some other limits to your search, e.g. publication date.
From your list of results you can access full text articles by clicking on the PDF icon. You also have the option of emailing the article by clicking on the envelope icon.
