The following online resources can be accessed off campus, if required via your library account.
This is a very useful service which can be used on two
levels. It can be searched to find details of archived or forthcoming
radio and television (terrestrial, cable or satellite) programmes. It
can also be used as an alerting service whereby you can arrange to
receive email notification of forthcoming broadcasts of interest to
your research.
This excellent website produced by the BFI contains a
comprehensive range of video clips from British film and television. In
addition to the clips, you will also find an Encyclopedia of British Film
and searchable biographies containing information about those involved
in film and television. Finally, the interactive tours through
particular subject areas combine video clips with still photographs and
other materials.
A searchable collection of news clips from ITN / Reuters which can be downloaded / viewed in Windows Mediaplayer or Quicktime
Provides analysis on media developments within the UK. The database includes Newsline, a media news service updated daily and containing a 13 year archive.
Electronic magazines and journals
